EMICODE®

Clean indoor air – for the health of your family!

People tend to spend more and more time indoors. Therefore, indoor air quality and emissions from indoor installation materials on walls and floors are becoming increasingly important.

In order to achieve a healthy living environment and “clean” indoor air, it is essential to pay attention to materials used for flooring installation and to building products such as insulation panels, adhesives or sealants. If you want to ensure maximum protection of your family’s health and of our environment, you should rely on products that have been arwarded the EMICODE® label. They are very low in emissions, meet the strictest standards and emission limits and are permanently monitored by independent inspection bodies.

As a result, EMICODE® guarantees clean indoor air and a healthy, comfortable climate inside your home – quality and safety for years to come.

What is EMICODE®?

The EMICODE® classification system allows consumers and craftmen to compare and evaluate the emission characteristics of flooring installation and construction products. At the same time, it can be seen as an incentive to further improve these products.

Meanwhile, this trademark-protected classification system has become one of the most important quality benchmarks for a wide range of product groups – both on a national and international scale. Since EMICODE® was introduced in 1997, more than 12.000 products from all over the world have been awarded the EMICODE® label. It offers consumers, craftsmen and architects guidance to decide which materials offer maximum safety from indoor air pollution, guarantee optimum health protection and high environmental compatibility.
