EMICODE^®

The EMICODE^® clas­si­fic­a­tion sys­tem makes it pos­sible to com­pare and eval­u­ate build­ing products based on their emis­sion beha­vi­or, while at the same time provid­ing an incent­ive to fur­ther improve these products.

Mean­while, the trade­mark-pro­tec­ted sys­tem has become the lead­ing inter­na­tion­al qual­ity stand­ard for a wide range of product cat­egor­ies. Since the EMICODE^®  was intro­duced in 1997, more than 20,000 products from all over the world have been awar­ded the EMICODE^®  label.

The label serves as a guide for con­sumers, crafts­men and archi­tects and helps them identi­fy which products offer a high level of pro­tec­tion from indoor air pol­lu­tion, thereby pro­mot­ing health and envir­on­ment­al com­pat­ib­il­ity.
