The GEV does not con­duct the tests itself but instead works with extern­al test­ing labor­at­or­ies to main­tain its neut­ral­ity as a man­u­fac­turer-sup­por­ted asso­ci­ation.

Sev­er­al round robin tests have shown that, from a qual­ity, com­pet­i­tion and cost point of view, the selec­tion of test­ing labor­at­or­ies should not be lim­ited to just a few. How­ever, two con­di­tions must be ful­filled:

The labor­at­or­ies must

(1) be pro­fi­cient in the GEV test meth­od (cham­ber test) and have the required equip­ment on site,

(2) be accred­ited in accord­ance with ISO 17025, includ­ing also the GEV test meth­od or test­ing accord­ing to EN 16516.

The com­pany that com­mis­sioned the test is respons­ible for the test res­ults. Based on a track record of reli­able res­ults provided in the past, the GEV cooper­ates with the fol­low­ing labor­at­or­ies:
