GEV does not carry out tests itself, but com­mis­sions the tests to extern­al test­ing labor­at­or­ies in order to main­tain its status as an impar­tial industry asso­ci­ation.

Sev­er­al round robin tests have shown that from a qual­ity, com­pet­i­tion and cost point of view, no pre-selec­tion of test insti­tutes should take place. How­ever, two pre­requis­ites must be ful­filled by the test­ing body:  

GEV Round-Robin Test

The labor­at­or­ies shall

(1) be pro­fi­cient in the GEV test meth­od (cham­ber test) and have the required equip­ment on site,

(2) be accred­ited in accord­ance with ISO 17025, includ­ing the GEV test meth­od or test­ing accord­ing to EN 16516.

The com­pany that com­mis­sioned the test is respons­ible for the test res­ults. Based on reli­able res­ults provided in the past, GEV cooper­ates with the fol­low­ing test labor­at­or­ies:
